According to the regional IT unit's report, in recent years, due to the importance of security and the urgent need for remote control, the installation of video surveillance cameras throughout the region has been on the agenda. For this reason, 120 video surveillance cameras and equipment related to their installation were purchased at a cost of 50 billion riyals, and their installation was completed last year.
According to this report, these cameras need periodic maintenance to maintain their quality and extend their life. In this regard, since last week, the periodic maintenance operations for the cameras in the industrial sector include cleaning the lenses, and replacing old projectors, housings, and switches. with 36 numbers and ended yesterday.
It is worth noting that the camera system purchased for the area is intelligent and equipped with a virtual fence, which is detected by the cameras and notified if a person enters the area. In addition, with the establishment of a surveillance room equipped in the previous year, the entire fence of the area is controlled by cameras, and thanks to the intelligence of the cameras, if a person crosses the fence of the area, the camera detects it and an alarm sounds in the surveillance room. Thanks to the equipment of the area with security cameras as well as the arrangements provided for in the security and regulation system of the area, the number of thefts has decreased significantly, so that no theft or insecurity was observed in the area during the first seven months of the year. .
