As is customary for AICE editions, the highest organizational officials of the host country are usually present. As a result, the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, and all the ministers of the Italian government have been invited - many of whom have supported the candidacy of the Adriatic Special Economic Zone, which led to its victory in the WFZO international competition in Dubai on 3 May, host AICE 2024 in Italy.
A large number of MPs from Apulia and Molise are also expected to attend.
AICE is the premier global conference and international event for approximately 5,000 Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and 2,260 Free Zones from over 140 countries. It brings together senior political and institutional officials, investors, CEOs of large multinational companies, industry experts from around the world, and all stakeholders in the sector globally.
AICE is held annually at various locations around the world and has become an unmissable gathering to discuss the latest trends, challenges and opportunities in the global SEZ and Free Zone sectors.
Some of the topics that will be addressed at AICE 2024 will focus on the future of global SEZs:
From artificial intelligence to information and communication technology to digital transformation.
From energy transfer to ecological transfer, in line with the goals of sustainable development (sustainable development
goals) and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) goals are identified in the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations and accepted in the framework of the Global Alliance of Special Economic Zones (GASEZ).
From water economy to other thematic topic like "infrastructure asset management" for infrastructure management and maintenance.
Finally, the new horizons of SEZs are seen not only as business hubs, but also as specialized areas for production chains that allow investment in the tourism, pharmaceutical, and healthcare sectors.
AICE 2024 will be a major global event, unique in its sector and perhaps a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Italy. This is a great opportunity to promote the Southern Italian Special Economic Zone and attract investment from important international players.

Interpreters will be present to facilitate communication between participants.
